Inspired by the true story of Italian serial killer Roberto Zucco, the play follows a murderer who, after killing his parents, wanders through a prison-city full of predetermined roles, struggling to forge an identity outside social constructs. As the police pursue him, his figure gradually transforms into a mythic hero, up to his final capture.
